In the first solo appearance I have given in many years, in Baltimore — my home town — I will perform favorite works of Mozart, Chopin, Federico Longás and George Gershwin. I will also talk about my early years in Baltimore and my life as the most prominent transgender classical musician of our time.

It feels urgent to do so, at a time when LGBTQIA+ folks are being demonized as never before. This is why we must all stand proudly, for Pride.

I am so profoundly touched to give this personal appearance in the city where my musical artistry was formed.

This concert begins at 3:00 p.m.
