All-Japanese program celebrating my 30 years as a Yamaha artist. I will play Yukiko Nishimura’s Ten Etudes (commissioned by myself), Kouji Taku’s “Variations on a Theme of Poulenc,” the Piano Sonata of Yoshinao Nakada (1949), and Jacques Ibert’s “Histoires” as choreographed by Japanese kabuki-Noh mime dancer Yayoi Hirano. Presented by Terry Eder and the Key Pianists Series.
