Concert of new music by Curt Cacioppo. I will play his “Variations on Hail to the Chief” with pianist and Temple colleague Charles Abramovic.

All-Japanese program of piano music by Yukiko Nishimura, Kouji Taku and Yoshinao Nakada; with special guest, mime dancer Yayoi Hirano in her choreographed interpretation of Ibert’s “Histoires,” with Japanese carved masks.

“A Tribute to Miklós Rózsa” (1907 – 1995).
Piano solo and chamber music of the Hungarian composer best known for his legendary film scores (“Ben-Hur,” “Double Indemnity,” “Spellbound” et al.). With cellist Jeffrey Solow — who worked with Rózsa in Hollywood — and violinist Stephanie Chase. Program concludes with the Piano Quintet op. 2.

Saint-Säens’ Piano Concerto no. 2 in G minor, with Michael Morgan conducting.

Béla Bartók’s Second Piano Concerto, with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Mexico conducted by Ivan López Reynoso.
