As part of an illustrious group concert tribute to Cuban pianist German Diéz, beloved mentor to generations of pianists and a dear friend, I will play a selection of Danzas Cubanas by Joaquín Nin-Culmell (1908 – 2004). Among the other performers are pianists Antoine Zémor and Erika Nickrenz, and composer Joan Tower. A preview of a Francesca Khalifa’s new documentary film about German’s life and work, will also be shown.

At Steinway Hall in New York City, 7:00 p.m.

My second appearance at Citifield’s annual Pride Night at the Ballpark! Sing along as I play my virtuoso arrangement of “Meet the Mets” on the Yamaha CFX, and see the Mets play the Washington Nationals. It’s also Hawaiian Shirt Night (for the first 15,000 fans), so come get dressed in your best to cheer on our Amazin’ Mets.

Solo Recital, with works by Mozart, Brahms, Gershwin; and Kouji Taku’s “Variations on a Theme by Poulenc.”

The final concert in a series of 8, features Wolfgang Mozart’s Piano Concertos in C minor KV 491, and C major KV 503.
